Competition Series

Preliminary Stage

In the first stage of the competition, participants will undergo an online multiple-choice examination meticulously designed to test their grasp of fundamental concepts in Industrial Engineering. This includes topics such as production planning, systems optimization, operations research, ergonomics, quality control, and supply chain management. The questions are intended to evaluate not only theoretical knowledge but also the participants' ability to apply basic principles to solve practical engineering problems. This round acts as a filtering stage, ensuring that only those with a solid understanding of core concepts progress to more complex and analytical challenges in the following rounds.

Quarter Final Stage

Participants who successfully pass the preliminary round will move on to the quarterfinals, where they will be challenged with a comprehensive case study that mirrors real-world scenarios encountered by industrial engineers. This round emphasizes critical thinking, problem identification, and solution design. Participants must thoroughly analyze the case, identify underlying issues, and develop strategic, data-driven solutions. They are required to submit an executive summary that clearly presents their analysis, outlines proposed recommendations, and includes rationales supported by relevant industrial engineering principles. This stage evaluates their ability to synthesize information, communicate professionally, and propose actionable insights.

Semi Final Stage

In the semifinal round, the competition intensifies as participants are given an authentic, real-life case provided by a trusted industry partner. The case will involve complex challenges that demand both technical knowledge and innovative thinking. In addition to working on the case, participants will engage in hands-on laboratory activities that simulate industrial environments, testing their practical skills and ability to collaborate in a high-pressure setting. This round is designed to mirror the dynamic nature of the engineering profession and evaluates how well participants can bridge theoretical concepts with real-world application, especially in areas such as systems analysis, efficiency improvement, and process optimization.

Final Stage

The final round is the pinnacle of the competition, where the top five participants will showcase their excellence by presenting their semifinal case solutions to a panel of esteemed judges comprising industry experts, academics, and professionals from the field of Industrial Engineering. Each finalist will be given time to deliver a structured presentation that highlights their problem-solving approach, technical analysis, feasibility of implementation, and the anticipated impact of their solutions. The final round not only assesses technical proficiency but also communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to defend one's ideas under scrutiny. This is a high-stakes moment where participants have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership, innovation, and professional maturity.
